I simply love spiceworks, it's a must have for IT on the budget for that matter any IT staff, It allows you to monitor all your network systems, what software is running, what's getting installed, Hard Drive space, who's logging on, events and whole lot more.

Zenoss i found more difficult to set up out of box then Spiceworks, but the premise is the same as spiceworks, monitor your whole network from one central location, one thing i loved about ZenOss is the fact that you can obtain a Virtual Appliance all set up and ready to go for you,

This is a neat ool if you need to monitor several routers, wtach where bottlenecks occur and it has some reporting available as well...
